2005 Organizational Accomplishments

RQC adopted positions, made recommendations to government bodies, attended city and county government meetings and provided RQC viewpoint on planning issues.

RQC developed a foundation of stated planning principles and values, in expanding detail, to be applied to the emerging development issues - particularly the SDA's.

  • Analysed, and provided review and comments to Grass Valley City Council on the content and details of the City's SDA Fiscal and Economic Study, in progress during 2005.
  • Drafted, Reviewed, and Adopted "Recommendations for Significant Projects."
Secured official non-profit, 501(c)(3) status for Rural Quality Foundation, which is to focus on education and information about conserving and enhancing a vigorous and sustainable balance between people, the economy and natural resources.
